What to Expect as a New Patient

Interested in Our Advanced Knee Pain Program?

This optional consultation gives you an opportunity to learn more about the program, ask questions about the services available, and determine whether you’d like to move forward with an initial exam.

The complimentary consultation is not a medical exam and is not required before beginning the program. Individual treatment recommendations are made after your initial exam and review of your medical history, condition, imaging, and examination findings.

Before Your Visit

To help your first visit go as smoothly as possible:

  • Complete any requested new patient paperwork before your appointment.
  • Bring your photo ID and insurance card, if applicable.
  • Bring or provide any relevant medical records or imaging you’ve been asked to supply.
  • Bring a current list of medications and supplements, if requested.
  • If your paperwork is not completed in advance, please arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow time to complete it before your scheduled appointment. If there is not enough time to complete your paperwork before your appointment begins, your visit may need to be rescheduled. This helps ensure your provider has the full amount of time needed to give you thorough, attentive care. If you have questions about which forms you need for your appointment, please contact our office.

Referral requirements can vary depending on the service and your insurance plan. Contact our office if you’re unsure whether a referral is required for your visit.

Insurance coverage varies by service and individual plan. Some services may be billed to insurance, while others are self-pay. Our team can provide more information based on the service you’re interested in.

New patients will be asked to complete appropriate intake paperwork and new patient forms. Completing your forms ahead of time can help make your first visit easier and prevent delays.

That depends on the service you’re seeking. Most patients begin with an initial exam or evaluation that may include a review of health history, discussion of concerns, examination, imaging, lab work, or other appropriate assessments.

Not for most services. Patients interested in the Advanced Knee Pain Program may choose to have an optional complimentary consultation before scheduling their initial exam, but it is not required.
